Water Canteen
how do i make a bottle gourd into a water canteen without any sort of sealer?
i have already dried and cured the gourd and drilled a hole and put a cork in it. but i havent done a thing to the inside exept dump out the seeds and gunk. i want the gourd to be capable of holding water that wont taste like gourd. i also dont want to use any chemical sealers on the inside just something that will get rid of that taste.
i dont want to use any sort of sealant (beeswax/paraffin wax) just something that will clean it out enough to not make water taste like gourd sludge

You should put a salt solution in the gourd and let it get soggy inside. Use the salt water solution several times, minimum of 3. You need to get the gunk out, and the salt will kill the taste. Then simply rinse with good clean water a few times.
