Stripper Clips
What are the different firearms that use / charger clips stripper?
The only two guns that can be recharged with charger clip / stripper that I know personally are the SKS and the SMLE. I'm sure there are thousands of firearms that can that, I'm just having a hard time finding them online. My stepfather said he learned to do with a FN FAL when he was in the reserves back in the day, but I find nothing to back this up online. Being here in Canada, and you can have a 5 round magazine (legally!), and each magazine to be 30-50 dollars, I'd be good to find a rifle that can use a stripper clip. Any ideas?
You can load the FAL mags with Stripper Clips (This saves weight over 20 transport loaded magazines), and Arms DS allows stripper clip top cover for them (Kalifornia rules), but I doubt that happened "back in the day." The FN49 has stripper clips, though it may be what he speaks. For your purposes, would be almost a Mauser K98k ideal. A good blacksmith can rebarrel .308 Winchester to the conclusion if 8 x 57 ammunition was difficult. Mitchell Mauser M60 Mauser sold new 0308, but I've never seen and would not recommend it as I do. It can be a fine gun, or it may be a piece horribly over: I can not tell. If (and it a big IF) you can find (or upload your own) of ammunition for it, the K31 is also an excellent choice. Technically, it's a six-round magazine, but I'm Paris would not be too difficult to permanently reduce the ability of action almost all the bolts took the military: The K98 Mauser, Mosin Nagant, K31 Swiss, 1903 Springfield, M1941 Johnson, M1917, the C96 "broomhandle," Carcano, Madsen M47 … and probably dozens more I can not think of right now, maybe others here will help fill in this list.
