Regiment Battalion
5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment 1917?
I try to know my grandfather battalion of which he served during World War.His name was John William Swales 240,273 and I know he received the Military Medal round about July 1917, but due to lost files, etc. I have no idea why. Does anyone know what the 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment were around this time or about any military action medal?
