Pre Wwii

Where are the lines of demarcation for the southern accents? How many are there different accents? diff pre-war?

How do you define "Southern accents"? There is no line … it's a question of how good things. People in neighboring states might not notice a "accent "Then someone from the opposite side of the country might think everyone has an accent. Everyone has a different emphasis that people can hear, no matter where they live (those who can not determine musical detected more accents than those who are deaf tone). As people move (post WW2 for example) Regional differences are mitigated. Television also averages about regional differences.
