Military Vehicle

If Chrysler builds vehicles for the Usa Military, is the US government going to let them go out of business?

If the US government does not bail out Chrysler, then the US military would have to go with another vehicle manufacturer. The military would not have spare parts and support for the existing military vehicles.
Chrysler also builds the Abrams tank (credited to be the best in the world at present). Who would pick up the US tank contract? If the Abrams is the best, the next manufacturer could not be?
Why do the Italians have to bail them out?

The production lines for the vehicles you’re referring to could be sold off as assets. In fact, this is the only thing that would make sense if Chrysler went down.

Someone else would run the same factories.

“Who would pick up the US tank contract? ”

Who wouldn’t? Raytheon would love it, Lockheed is already working on the JLTV so it wouldn’t be a far leap. Tons of companies are capable of running that line.
