Meritorious Service

Bill Gates announced that he will transition his role on a daily basis at Microsoft by July 2008 to spend more time working on the Foundation Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which focuses on global health and education.

The announcement reminded us of the plethora of speeches graduation than students who wish pulsed across the country this spring. As we listened to the worthy goals piled on recent graduates, so they can achieve the production targets he has found it impossible, we could not help but thinking, why not go out and tell someone aspiring youth that the real challenge is?

Like it or not, the world Today, as well as many other age, is performed by two main forces: the wealth and power, and, other than the use of weapons fire power of the springs of wealth.

So if you want to influence how this world outrageously need, consider the sad truth that all power springs from the opening in deep pockets. This is called the economic base of society, but in its current incarnation, Wasting in excess.

When we were young graduates, we were not aware of such a reality without compromise and passed at least two opportunities to Megabucks because we wanted to preserve our mental energy to spend to achieve our ideals.

Was wiser than us, we had a couple of years to fill their pockets with the power and then, as Mr. Gates spent the rest of our lives quietly pursuing these ideals even inspiriting.

So we find ourselves, our own experience, in the unlikely role of advising the more idealistic to enable their altruism by getting involved, first, in the activity they are undoubtedly convinced is not the most attractive.

So if you're lucky enough to permit your financial independence, you may, like Mr. Gates, go to the full-time devotion your idealism undoubtedly meritorious.

Well, the speech probably would not have been the one that inspired the administration inviting us to come back or that students have received with approval, but the glass on the high road of economic necessity is not to to be dismissed lightly. Ignore it and you can walk on it with painful frequency.
