Division Unit
Is there any unit or division in the Army or Marines that is Mountaineering or mountain warfare?
Im interested in going into the Army or Marines but I was wondering if there’s any MOS or unit or division the focuses on mountain warfare? I was looking for something that has mountain climbing and mountaineering in the army or marines.I already know the 10th mountain doesn’t have anything to do with that.Any information will be help full thanks
The USMC does not have specific units for mountain warfare. As a unit needs this training they are sent to their mountain warfare school in Bridgeport, CA.
The Army does have such units.
Our infantry battalion went through that fun filled school and we were just a basic infantry battalion.
