Civil War

What is the importance of photography in the U.S. civil war?

I have a slideshow of not less than 5 slides explaining the importance photographs during the Civil War. I can not find enough information to fill two more slides. What I do have that this war was the first war ever to have been photographed and Americans across the continent have been able to see and bright horrific images of their own people kill each other. If you know more important facts about this subject, please post below.

You'll make a bad start with your performance if you start by saying that it was the first war to be photographed. This is false. The first photographs war were taken by Roger Fenton during the Crimean War in the previous decade. I think you need to do much more research, which is quite easy, as I think there were one or two items, and even, even books written about Matthew Brady and the Civil War. It is possible that you can find references to this subject on the Internet if you look hard.
