Book German

What book in German would you recommend for a GCSE/A level student?

It should be available on German, and the vocabulary should not be too complex.
I mean, it should be available on Amazon*.

If you want to smile a lot and learn some nice cooking recipes, try
Johannes Mario Simmel, “Es muß nicht immer Kaviar sein.”
As movie it was sent in several continuations in German TV and was that what we called a Straßenfeger, a movie beeing so popular, that the streets were empty when it was shown.

It is the story of Thomas Lieven a German-English Banker as secret service agent of all possible agencies in WWII.
